It is with sincere regret that we have to announce the permanent closure of The Capital Venue & The South West Snooker Academy on 30th November 2019.
In its 10 year life it has hosted some of the worlds most prestigious events and the worlds greatest players as well as providing superb conditions for players of all abilities to enjoy snooker at its absolute finest.
We have hosted 10 Pink Ribbon events, the Worlds biggest Snooker Pro-Am, which has allowed Paul Mount to donate over £100,000 to Breast Cancer Charities over that time. An absolutely phenomenal achievement.
SWSA League teams will continue to be able to play their matches out of SWSA for at least the rest of this season, and further details will be forthcoming to the team captains in the near future.
No further memberships will be issued. Non-members will continue to pay the £2.50 guest fee and a table rate of £12/hour. Members who hold a 2018/19 membership card will receive complimentary membership until closure.
Anyone who has already paid for the 2019/20 season will get two free hours of table time as a refund. The Loyalty card scheme will stop immediately. Current Loyalty cards will be honoured but will not be renewed.
Paul Mount, Andrew Norman , Paul Dempster and all the staff current and past would like to thank all of our customers for your support over this amazing 10 year journey and hope that you have your own magic memories of the club to take away with you. We hope you will agree that we have all been part of something very, very special.
A final snooker competition will be held during the first weekend of November and we hope all members will want to participate in this event. Further details to follow but please save the date.
